Spin is seeking an Engineering Lead to manage a team in the Loyalty Core initiative. This role emphasizes leadership and strategic planning, requiring a solid technical background for informed decisions.

The Engineering Lead will be instrumental in decoupling a third-party loyalty engine and developing a scalable in-house core solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Oversee Agile processes and ensure effective planning.
  • Define and drive technical excellence.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and technical debt.
  • Negotiate scope and priorities with Product teams.
  • Contribute to the decoupling of the third-party loyalty engine.
  • Ensure AWS and microservices best practices.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years in software development, with 2+ years in team leadership.
  • Experience with software architecture, including microservices.
  • Understanding of AWS and cloud-based solutions.
  • Ability to negotiate scope and priorities with Product teams.
  • Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and career development.
  • Background in fintech, payment systems, or loyalty programs preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
