Ultimaker is seeking an APAC Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to help build a robust and adaptable supply chain. This role is based in Shenzhen, China, and will collaborate with engineering, operations, and global supply chain teams to enhance supplier relationships, drive cost optimization, and ensure the supply chain meets Ultimaker’s high-quality standards.
The role involves:
- Working closely with US- and Netherlands-based engineering and operations teams.
- Collaborating with global supply chain and procurement teams.
- Developing a strategic and optimized sourcing roadmap.
- Leading supplier partnerships and negotiating initial agreements.
- Managing supplier performance metrics.
- Working with quality and design engineers.
- Partnering with a Shenzhen-based quality engineer for due diligence and site audits.
The requirements are:
- Proven experience in establishing and optimizing new supply chains.
- Strong hands-on manufacturing experience in consumer products.
- Expertise in contracts, price negotiations, and performance metrics.
- Ability to work with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
- Willingness to travel to key manufacturing and supplier sites.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
