CAR-T Operations Support Supervisor

Job Description

Legend Biotech is seeking a CAR-T Operations Support Supervisor to lead and supervise the support operations team in Ghent, Belgium. The supervisor will be responsible for all production support activities, including Grade B cleaning, material transfer, replenishment, sterilization, and overseeing aspects of CAR-T process operations, such as cryopreservation.

The ideal candidate will ensure safe and compliant manufacturing operations, adhering to cGMP requirements and supporting both clinical and commercial CAR-T production, and will collaborate with internal stakeholders to address production challenges and maintain seamless execution of daily production tasks.

Role Involves:

• Acting as SME for quality aspects related to production activities.
• Managing and reviewing documentation in Production zones.
• Leading and coordinating production support activities.
• Supporting Tech Transfer plans and contributing to the development of manufacturing processes.
• Supervising personnel, assigning tasks, and ensuring operational readiness.
• Implementing and leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings.
• Supporting internal and external audit readiness.
• Ensuring safe and compliant operations according to EHS and cGMP standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Bio-Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year in a cGMP or ATMP environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience overseeing teams of 10+ individuals.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and EMEA guidance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; MES/EBR knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to accommodate shift work, including evenings and weekends.
