Job Description
Legend Biotech is seeking an EHS Engineer to join their safety and environmental department in Ghent, Belgium. The EHS Engineer will collaborate on the EHS policy and implementation of new EHS software and will be responsible for the care systems to be developed within the sites at Gent. Role involves:
- Performing commissioning and risk analyses.
- Participating in the annual action plan and providing advice on occupational safety, health, and welfare.
- Investigating dangerous situations, accidents, and environmental incidents.
- Developing and implementing internal EHS procedures.
- Promoting the EHS policy and increasing safety awareness.
- Contributing to a safe and sustainable organization.
- Managing the implementation and application of ISO14001 and ISO45001 care systems.
Requirements:
- Technical education with a professional bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of equivalent experience.
- Level 1 Prevention Advisor certificate.
- Experience in EHS role or equivalent in change management and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in setting up EHS systems and software.
- Good understanding of EHS and ISO systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
