Job Description
Beast Industries, founded by MrBeast, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role ensures compliance with accounting principles and external audits. The ideal candidate is entrepreneur-minded with strong analytical, organizational, planning, and communication skills. They should be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of adapting traditional accounting practices to a non-traditional business model. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager.
What this role involves:
- Informing Accounting Manager of spending discrepancies and receipt collection issues
- Performing monthly account reconciliations across multiple entities and accounts
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Coding and uploading invoices into QuickBooks online
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions
- Assisting in month-end closing reports
- Preparing weekly reports for various departments
- Analyzing spending trends and vendor data
- Educating employees on company expense policy
- Tracking and submitting payments on US Form 1042 for international winners
- Assembling and distributing 1099 forms to US independent contractors and winners
- Maintaining files and documentation
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in accounting and two years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in PC applications, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Understanding of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, research, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
