HiveMQ is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join its Cloud Applications Team. This individual will play a key role in building and designing user experiences for the customer-facing Cloud Portal and other internal systems. The role involves collaborating with frontend engineers, designers, and contributing to the design system and component libraries. HiveMQ is a remote-first company headquartered in Landshut, Germany with a US office.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, optimize, and maintain HiveMQ Cloud customer portal and underlying frameworks (React, Chakra).
  • Contribute to the HiveMQ design system and component library.
  • Build, maintain, and refactor existing code bases.
  • Develop new features and improve the customer journey and user flow.
  • Work with Product Managers to create new customer value.
  • Contribute to code quality and engineering vision.
  • Learn about MQTT, distributed systems, and IoT.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, SCSS, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience with React and reactive state management systems.
  • Solid understanding of build tools, Unit- and Integration-Testing, SCM (GitHub).
  • Familiarity with web security best practices.
  • Good knowledge about UI/UX concepts.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
