Senior Software Engineer at HiveMQ

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering solutions that enhance the scalability, availability, and efficiency of the HiveMQ software portfolio. This role involves working closely with support and SaaS teams to identify problems and opportunities to add resilience to the platform.

The role involves:

• Architecting, building, and maintaining core software for massively-scalable global MQTT deployments
• Creating self-healing software systems
• Collaborating with product management to develop visionary functionality
• Developing and implementing concurrent, maintainable, and performant algorithms
• Working with profilers, benchmarking, and state analysis tools
• Identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks
• Solving edge cases and finding common truths

Requirements:

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team

• Experience developing and shipping business-relevant software
• Experience writing reliable and scalable software
• Experience using git, testing, and CI/CD tools
• Deep knowledge of Java and the JVM
