FirstPrinciples is seeking a Product Manager to spearhead the vision, development, and growth of their AI-driven research platform. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets the needs of academics, scientists, policy makers, and global institutions.He/she will define and refine product objectives, plan and prioritize the product roadmap, and work closely with FirstPrinciples leadership to ensure product vision addresses research challenges and supports scientific advancement.Responsibilities:
  • Define and refine product objectives in alignment with FirstPrinciples’ mission.
  • Plan and prioritize the product roadmap.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to scope features, address technical constraints, and track progress.
  • Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to guide key product decisions.
  • Gather user requirements by consulting with scientists, researchers, and other user groups.
  • Translate user needs into clear, tangible requirements.
  • Coordinate testing of product prototypes and prioritize improvements.
  • Evaluate product success using data-driven observations, user feedback, and product analytics.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure product feasibility and robust architecture.
  • Translate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in clear terms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in a product management role, preferably in tech or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan product roadmaps, prioritize features, and manage releases.
  • Familiarity with software development processes, best practices, basic AI/ML concepts, and data infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a startup-style, cross-functional, remote team.
