Cabify is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Specialist to join their team in Madrid. The IT Specialist will be an expert in automating processes using Python, creating APIs, and connecting applications. The candidate will also provide technical support where necessary and have knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for hosting and managing developed solutions.

The IT Specialist will primarily focus on automating processes and APIs with Python, while also providing local and global support alongside the Spain team when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Automating processes: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using Python, develop scripts and programs in Python to automate repetitive tasks, and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop APIs: Design and develop RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Flask or Django, integrate APIs with existing applications and third-party services, and ensure the security and performance of APIs.
  • Connecting applications: Connect different applications and systems using APIs, webhooks, and other technologies, ensure the integrity and consistency of data during transfer between applications, and troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure interoperability between systems.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Document solutions and create user guides.
  • Cloud management (GCP): Implement and manage automations and APIs in the Google Cloud (GCP), use GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, etc. to host solutions, configure and manage databases in GCP (Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner), and monitor the performance and security of applications in GCP.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in automating processes using Python.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience connecting applications and systems.
  • Experience in technical support (desirable).
  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Python and its main libraries
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Familiarity with management tools (JIRA)
