Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Cabify is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance its platform and impact the entire organization. The role involves a blend of systems engineering and software development, focusing on solving scalability issues and implementing production engineering and security practices. Cabify's Product & Engineering teams are based in Madrid, with a strong remote culture.

The role involves:

• Evolving the infrastructure platform by building self-service components.
• Collaborating with Product and Infrastructure teams to develop world-class infrastructure components.
• Designing and implementing tooling to improve service availability, scalability, observability, and latency.
• Increasing reliability awareness across teams and helping with the adoption of reliability principles.
• Defining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs as part of the services' lifecycle.
• Sharing an on-call schedule for platform services.
• Solving problems in the highly available platform and automating incident prevention.
• Participating in the recruiting process.

Requirements include:

• Strong understanding of Unix, networking, containers, monitoring, logging, and the CAP theorem.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• A natural inclination to automate tasks.
• Effective communication skills.
• A focus on simplicity and identifying bottlenecks.
• Comfortable communicating in English.
