Job Description

Ketchum, a global communications consultancy, is seeking a Senior Manager, SEO to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for organic search and a desire to drive innovation.

The Senior Manager, SEO will be responsible for leading client relationships, developing and executing comprehensive search strategies, and mentoring junior team members. This role requires a deep understanding of technical SEO, content optimization, and generative AI/search, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

This is a hybrid role, requiring three days a week in the office.

Role Involves:

  • Acting as a strategic lead and primary client contact.
  • Architecting and executing comprehensive organic search strategies.
  • Optimizing web and digital content for various search environments.
  • Overseeing keyword research, competitive analysis, and on-page/off-page SEO.
  • Conducting in-depth search landscape analyses.
  • Staying current with changes in search engine algorithms and AI trends.
  • Leveraging advanced analytics tools to monitor search performance.
  • Partnering across teams to integrate SEO strategies.
  • Mentoring and inspiring junior team members.
  • Developing and presenting insightful reporting.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in SEO, organic and/or generative search.
  • Expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and generative AI/search.
  • Experience in conducting search landscape analyses.
  • Working knowledge of paid search (SEM) is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in analytics and SEO tools (GA4, Adobe Analytics, SEMrush or similar).
  • Experience in a client-facing, strategic leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
