Job Description
Winton seeks a skilled Commodity Fundamentals Portfolio Manager to join their Investment Management & Research (IMR) group in London. The ideal candidate will focus on building and operating systematic fundamental commodities trading strategies. This role involves working within a collaborative quant group and leveraging the firm's technology and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and operating scalable systematic trading strategies in specific commodities markets.
- Collaborating with quant researchers and other PMs/strats to enhance strategy and contribute to others.
- Liaising with technology and data teams to build necessary trading infrastructure.
- Overseeing the operation of trading strategies, including trading activity, positions, and performance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience and/or trading track record in systematic commodities trading.
- Excellent knowledge of commodity markets fundamentals, supply/demand modelling, and associated data sets.
- Technical skills in data analysis, Python programming, and understanding of instrument mechanics.
- Leadership and communication skills for collaborative environments.
