Vertice, a fast-growing startup managing SaaS and cloud spend, is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales) to be based in Sydney. This role is the first solutions engineer in the APAC region.He/she will be the key technical point of contact throughout the pre-sales process. The Solutions Engineer will work closely with account executives and sales managers. They will drive deals forward, and build trusted relationships with prospects, ensuring they have confidence in Vertice’s ability to solve their challenges.Role involves:
- Actively drive revenue by supporting prospective client interactions.
- Take ownership of customer inquiries.
- Conducting Proof of concepts (POC) for our customers.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to achieve our sales goals.
- Collaborate internally with our technical teams (Product & Engineering).
- Work closely with Post-Sales Solutions Consultants to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Provide feedback to help improve our processes and products as we scale.
Requirements:
- Strong solution-selling and demo skills.
- Excellent discovery skills.
- A solution-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Knowledge of key technical concepts including APIs.
- Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Self-starter who quickly learns new technologies.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in a solution-selling environment or a similar role with transferable skills.
