Tax Manager

Job Description

Fashion Nova is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting. The Tax Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to support the company's tax function. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional who can navigate complex tax issues and optimize tax strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage external service providers on sales/use and other indirect tax compliance.
• Manage sales tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Work with external providers on the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax research and analysis.
• Develop and implement tax strategies.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors, auditors, and consultants.
• Assist in tax accounting and reporting processes.
• Support transfer pricing compliance and international tax matters.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax changes.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams regarding tax policies and procedures.
• Work on special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
• Experience in sales tax audits and has worked directly to resolve sales tax audits with state agencies.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax research tools, ERP systems, sales tax software, including implementation and changes.
• Detail-oriented, ability to work with large volume data.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
