Merchandise Planner

Job Description

Fashion Nova, a leading trend-to-market fashion brand, is seeking a Merchandise Planner to own product planning across categories and support growth initiatives. The Merchandise Planner will leverage analytical skills and creative problem-solving to ensure the availability of products that customers demand.Role responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing annual, seasonal, and monthly merchandise plans for assigned product categories.
• Partnering with Re-Order teams to effectively manage inventory composition across new, re-order, and core styles for assigned product categories.
• Creating pre-season assortment plans using historical and trend SKU productivity performance.
• Analyzing sales, inventory, and margin performance, as well as the effectiveness of promotions, price adjustments, markdowns, and product launches.
• Collaborating with Site Merchandising to effectively manage collection and landing pages while maximizing product views and conversion for assigned product categories.
• Assisting in the execution and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for the Merchandising department.
• Recapping assigned product categories quarterly hindsight to drive future strategic inventory, profit, and assortment decisions.
• Developing relationships with cross-functional team members, including Buying, Site Merchandising, Marketing, and Re-Order Teams.

Requirements include:

• 5-7 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management, Financial Planning, or a similar role in fashion/apparel.
• Experience using Shopify as an eCommerce platform.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Experience with data analysis and recommending solutions from insights.
• BA | BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• English, additional language(s) an advantage.
