Assistant Designer, Product Development

Fashion Nova is seeking an Assistant Designer, Product Development to join their team in Beverly Hills, California. The Assistant Designer will report to the Manager of Product Development and work closely with vendors to provide trend-right styles, acting as a consultative partner in buying decisions. They will be responsible for compiling samples, providing buyer feedback, and recommending trends and colors for future developments. This role requires collaboration with both domestic and international vendors and manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to overall trend direction.
• Design styles, develop trims, and identify colors.
• Collaborate with vendors to source new fabrics and styles.
• Assist in reviewing emerging trends.
• Coordinate with the Buying team to revise purchase orders.
• Track development samples.
• Participate in fittings.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Fashion Design or Product Development.
• 2+ years of experience working with international manufacturing vendors.
• Understanding of vendor skill sets and manufacturing capabilities.
• Highly creative, organized, and self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• English proficiency required.
