Head of Technology, APAC at BTIG

BTIG is seeking a Head of Technology for the APAC region. This role involves leading the technology strategy, managing trading support, and ensuring operational efficiency across Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan. The Head of Technology will report to the Global CIO, James Crowley.

The ideal candidate will lead and inspire a diverse team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation. They will also be responsible for aligning the IT strategy with BTIG APAC's business goals and driving digital transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a high-performing IT team, managing capacity effectively.
• Manage the delivery of equities and fixed-income front-office trading platform support.
• Implement IT solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Define and implement the IT strategy to align with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including cyber threats.
• Provide direction and oversight of in-house software development.
• Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors.
• Develop and implement comprehensive BCDR plans.

Requirements:

• Extensive IT experience in banking or financial services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with trading applications and electronic systems.
• Proficiency in managing large-scale IT projects.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in identifying and mitigating IT-related risks.
• Ability to drive technological innovation.
• Professional proficiency in both Cantonese and English (ideal).
