Dialogue is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join their team and contribute to their mission of improving people's wellbeing. Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health Specialist, the successful candidate will support and provide a high-quality experience to Dialogue members.

The Mental Health Specialist will have a background in social work, crisis intervention, or short-term coaching. They will be responsible for mental health support, coaching members with mild symptoms, navigating member needs, and providing relevant resources.

What this role involves:

  • Assessing member needs and requests on the platform.
  • Accompanying members in their healthcare journey in collaboration with professionals.
  • Offering support in short-term follow-ups using a motivational interviewing approach.
  • Ensuring patient navigation to complementary resources.
  • Participating in the development of a database of community/public resources in Canada.
  • Being responsible for patient safety in a member-facing role.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a mental health or human relations field
  • 2+ years of intervention experience as a social worker (or similar role)
  • Availability to work 32 hours a week, evenings (up to 8 pm) and weekends
  • Comfortable conducting consultations in French
  • Knowledge of community and institutional resources
  • A desire to work in an autonomous, professional, and versatile environment
  • Attraction to work in an innovative environment, and ease with computer tools
  • Bilingualism in French and English
