Technical Project Engineer

Job Description

Unybrands is seeking a Technical Project Engineer to lead supplier transition projects and manage manufacturer relationships. The Technical Project Engineer will oversee production processes and ensure successful product development and delivery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure suppliers meet quality, efficiency, and timeline requirements. The role is offered as a 6 month contract with potential for permanent placement depending on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the main technical contact for suppliers.
• Oversee supplier production processes, identifying inefficiencies.
• Challenge suppliers on technical issues, driving improvement.
• Facilitate smooth transitions to new suppliers.
• Monitor manufacturing workflows and ensure compliance.
• Conduct on-site inspections of supplier facilities.
• Identify production risks and implement actions.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Present insights to management.
• Organize technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated practical experience of electrical consumer product production process, assembly and quality/safety testing at manufacturing factory.
• Knowledge of electrical components.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Native Mandarin and Business Proficient English Skills
• Willingness to travel.
