Job Description
Unybrands is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure consistent supplier quality performance and effectively resolve production issues. The Supplier Quality Engineer will manage technical requirements and oversee quality-related projects for major retail client orders. This role is based in Shenzhen.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct supplier audits, evaluating manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance incoming/first-article inspection (FAI).
  • Ensure supplier adherence to defined AQL standards and effective use of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Project manage quality requirements for major retail customer orders.
  • Engage proactively with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide clear, actionable reporting to management.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to define, communicate, and validate technical specifications.
  • Review engineering drawings, material specifications, product documentation, and manage Engineering Change Requests/Notifications (ECR/ECN).
  • Proactively support suppliers in resolving technical issues, implementing engineering changes, and improving product manufacturability and quality.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years' experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Management.
  • Practical experience with electrical consumer product manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Previous experience managing quality for major retail or international brand projects preferred.
  • Native Mandarin speaker with business-level English.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites.
