Dialogue is seeking a Director of Software Development - Platform to lead its Platform teams, reporting to the Vice-President of Engineering - Platform. This role involves working on Dialogue’s Integrated Health Platform™ and will be seen as a Technical Product Manager for the Platform. The Director will drive a culture of strong engineering values and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing platform engineering team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee ScrumBan teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software
  • Provide architectural guidance and participate in architecture discussions
  • Collaborate with leadership on personnel allocation, project management, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Oversee the DevOps guild, promoting best practices
  • Define and execute the long-term vision for platform infrastructure and software tools
  • Act as a Technical Product Manager, aligning platform needs with company roadmaps and client commitments
  • Improve engineering velocity and quality using KPIs
  • Ensure platform availability, reliability, and scalability
  • Manage budget and resources efficiently
  • Oversee security, risk management, and compliance
  • Communicate platform health, progress, and priorities to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Relevant management experience
  • Proven track record of performance in a similar role
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong DevOps/SRE mindset with Agile reflexes
  • Ability to process and synthesize information
  • Focus-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interest in technical work and coding (Python, Terraform, k8s)
  • Desire to impact people’s lives
  • Healthcare knowledge is a plus
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field (nice to have)
