Job Description
Caylent, a cloud-native services company, is seeking a Data Architect to join their Cloud Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data architecture and ML system design, with a passion for driving innovation alongside customers, partners, and colleagues. This role involves working with the latest technologies and supporting customers in bringing cutting-edge ideas to market.Caylent's Data Architect will:
- Guide Cayliens and Customers through Agile ceremonies.
- Translate customer requirements into a workable backlog of tickets.
- Delegate tickets to a team of engineers.
- Lead requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and architecture discussions.
- Apply understanding of DevOps pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in customer environments.
- Automate software testing and monitor results.
- Write production-quality code with tests.
- Deliver cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Communicate and document designs, processes, and procedures.
- Mentor peers and learn from the engineering team.
Qualifications include:
- Experience designing and implementing ETL, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with analytics and visualization.
- Experience with MDM and data governance.
- Experience implementing high availability solutions, RDS and Aurora optimization, and large-scale application migration on AWS.
- Expert-level understanding of data warehouses and RDBMs (Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SDKs.
