Staff Domain Engineer

Job Description

Halcyon, a company focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers, is seeking a Domain Staff Engineer to bridge the gap between Security Research and Engineering in the development of new security features that enhance their ransomware protection, detection, and remediation capabilities. This role sits within Security Research, reporting to the VP of Research, and works closely with the engineering team to collaborate on proofs-of-concept, architectures, solutions, and mechanisms to make the ideas reality. Role involves:

• Developing initial stage product capabilities to demonstrate new protections.
• Working with agent, kernel, and cloud engineering teams.
• Advocating for security solution ideas and refining processes for product capabilities.
• Facilitating between Security Research and Engineering to integrate product innovations.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Windows low-level security development.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, C, and C++, with Windows API experience.
• Experience developing security defenses against ransomware and malware.
• Understanding of systems and software engineering best practices.
• Ability to bridge the gap between research and engineering.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
