CTO / Founding Engineer at Hyphen Connect Limited

The company is seeking a CTO/Founding Engineer to spearhead research and development efforts in machine learning, specifically focusing on facial recognition technologies. This role involves collaborating closely with the founder to establish the technological vision, strategy, and roadmap, with the ultimate aim of positioning the company as a leader in the AI-driven dating application space.

Responsibilities:

• Directing research and development in facial feature extraction, recognition, and matching algorithms.
• Defining the technical vision and strategy in alignment with AI matching goals. Stay at the forefront of advancements in facial recognition technologies.
• Overseeing the design, development, and testing of scalable solutions for facial recognition and matching.
• Implementing advanced user profiling via facial features, emotion recognition, and demographic estimation.
• Developing or adapting algorithms for real-time facial analysis.
• Ensure R&D projects meet business objectives and adhere to timelines.
• Integrating technological advancements into our product offerings, working closely with product and marketing teams.
• Exploring the generation or merging of synthetic faces through facial embeddings.
• Investigating facial feature modification or enhancement via natural language processing and stable diffusion methods.
• Developing algorithms to measure similarity in interests or hobbies using large language models.

Qualifications:

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields with a focus on machine learning.
• Demonstrated success in leading R&D teams, particularly in tech startups, with an emphasis on social or dating apps.
• Expertise in machine learning, especially in deep learning for facial recognition (e.g., CNNs, YOLO, FaceNet).
• Proficient in Python, C++, or similar languages for both machine learning and system development.
• Knowledge of secure system design and data handling practices.
• A track record of innovating in system architecture and machine learning applications.
• Ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly to diverse audiences, from engineers stakeholders.
