A leading global crypto custodian is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team in Malaysia. The Business Development Executive will report to the Head of BD & Sales in Asia. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within the Web3, DeFi, and blockchain ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Web3, DeFi, and blockchain ecosystem.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute online and offline events.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align business development strategies.
  • Represent the company at major Web3 events.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related fields.
  • A background in payment companies is required, with some exposure to Web3 clients.
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing partnerships in the tech or fintech space.
  • Experience in organizing and hosting industry events, both virtual and physical.
  • Proficiency in English, and conversational Mandarin is required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and work independently with a proactive mindset.
