Software Engineer (Python)

Job Description

Garda Capital Partners is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Research and Technology team in New York. The candidate will contribute to the development of new business solutions and support senior staff in designing and implementing solutions for Risk and Front Office Groups. This role offers exposure to enterprise software development practices within a global hedge fund.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing new lines of business solutions using Python, Excel, and Relational Databases.
• Supporting senior staff in designing and implementing complete solutions for Risk and Front Office Groups.
• Providing support for in-house and 3rd party applications.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of object-oriented development experience, preferably with Python.
• 3+ years of relational databases and SQL experience, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience with Python Data Science Stack (Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, etc.).
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
