Sewing Machine Technical Lead

Job Description

Jonsson Workwear is seeking a proactive Sewing Machine Technical Lead to ensure the functionality and reliability of all production equipment in their manufacturing facilities in Maputsoe, Lesotho. The Technical Lead will take ownership of all production equipment, ensuring its functionality and reliability across manufacturing processes.Role involves:

• Overseeing the maintenance of all production machinery across facilities.
• Assessing machinery performance for optimal functionality.
• Leading a team of mechanics and technical support staff.
• Coordinating with external service providers.
• Managing parts procurement and controlling expenditure.

Requirements:

• A qualification in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics advantageous).
• Extensive hands-on experience in a senior maintenance role in the apparel manufacturing industry.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a large team of mechanics and technical support staff.
• Expertise in the latest generation of sewing machines equipped with advanced automation.
• In-depth knowledge of specialised supporting machinery.
• Experience in managing parts procurement, controlling expenditure and working closely with suppliers.
