Job Description
Oklo is seeking a Process Engineer to join their engineering team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for the design, engineering analyses, systems engineering, specifications development, and operations of the fluid and power process systems used in Oklo’s power plants. Role involves:
  • Designing fluid and process systems (piping, valves, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers)
  • Defining process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria
  • Designing, assembling, and operating prototypes
  • Generating documentation for system layout, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance
  • Serving as process system owner through multiple lifecycle stages
  • Generating technical documentation for regulatory filings
  • Working with external vendors on analysis, procurement, and testing
  • Documenting work and composing technical reports
Requirements:
  • Experience in fluids/process system design, power generation, and/or systems engineering
  • Passion for clean energy and advanced fission
  • Willingness to learn quickly and think differently
  • Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Engineering education (Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, Aerospace, or Chemical)
  • Experience performing design or modification engineering on process equipment
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and strong systems engineering intuition
