Job Description
Oklo Inc. is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join their fuel recycling engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, prototyping, and validation of key chemical separation subsystems for Oklo’s fuel recycling facility. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility design, unit process equipment design, safety analysis, and licensing.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating existing technologies.
- Developing systems that meet facility and regulatory requirements.
- Defining system and unit process requirements and validation methodologies.
- Establishing performance criteria, test protocols, and test equipment.
- Developing process flow sheets and heat and material balances with process simulation tools.
- Generating documentation for fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of subsystems.
- Serving as subsystem technical lead through multiple lifecycle stages.
- Generating technical documentation for regulatory filings.
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
- Passion for clean energy.
- Motivation to build and deploy technology.
- Ability to tackle and overcome challenges.
- Willingness to learn quickly and think differently.
- Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.
