Job Description
Oklo is seeking a Process Equipment Design Engineer to join its fuel recycling engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and refining production-scale remotely-operated electrochemical molten salt process equipment.
The role involves participation in cross-functional teams and includes design, testing, and validation activities.
Responsibilities:
- Define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria
- Benchmark lab and engineering-scale equipment design and performance
- Design, assemble, and operate prototypes for iterative design refinement
- Generate documentation for fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance
- Serve as process equipment technical lead through multiple lifecycle stages
- Generate technical documentation for regulatory filings
- Document work using modern tools and techniques and compose technical reports
Requirements:
- Engineering education (Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, Aerospace, or Chemical)
- Experience in design or modification engineering on process equipment in relevant industries
- Experience with CAD software
- Familiarity with engineering principles
