Job Description

Oklo is seeking a Process Equipment Design Engineer to join its fuel recycling engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and refining production-scale remotely-operated electrochemical molten salt process equipment.

The role involves participation in cross-functional teams and includes design, testing, and validation activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Define process equipment architecture, specifications, operational modes, and performance criteria
  • Benchmark lab and engineering-scale equipment design and performance
  • Design, assemble, and operate prototypes for iterative design refinement
  • Generate documentation for fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance
  • Serve as process equipment technical lead through multiple lifecycle stages
  • Generate technical documentation for regulatory filings
  • Document work using modern tools and techniques and compose technical reports

Requirements:

  • Engineering education (Mechanical, Materials, Petroleum, Aerospace, or Chemical)
  • Experience in design or modification engineering on process equipment in relevant industries
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Familiarity with engineering principles
