Job Description
Oklo is seeking a Regulatory Engineer to join their fuel recycling team. The Regulatory Engineer is responsible for navigating the regulatory framework for licensing recycling and fuel fabrication facilities and participating in the engineering design of those technologies. The role involves developing an in-depth knowledge of relevant Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Environmental Protection Agency requirements.Responsibilities will differ depending on the person's background. Specific work areas will be determined by experience, background, and interest.Responsibilities involve:
  • Researching and interpreting regulations and regulatory precedents
  • Generating, refining, and reviewing licensing documentation
  • Supporting managing deliverables for various internal and external regulatory activities
  • Interfacing with technical staff, including reviewing technical material
  • Analyzing regulatory documents and identifying key aspects
  • Performing some design engineering work
Requirements:
  • Experience generating, or evaluating NRC license applications or amendments
  • Experience in a technical field
  • Passion for clean energy, the environment, the recycling of nuclear fuel, and making advanced fission a reality
  • Willingness to learn quickly and think differently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment

Oklo
