Senior iOS Software Engineer, Reddit Chat

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to join their Chat team and contribute to building innovative solutions for millions of redditors. This role involves working on a high-impact project with wide visibility within the company, alongside product managers, user experience designers, and business analysts.Reddit is a community-driven platform built on shared interests and authentic conversations. The Chat team aims to make synchronous conversations a core part of the Reddit experience, unlocking new ways for communities to grow.Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Craft compelling user experiences for iOS.
• Contribute to the team's strategy and participate in product reviews.
• Scope, estimate, and prioritize between conflicting needs.
• Foster a healthy engineering culture and collaborate with other engineers.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of chat features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with iOS native applications at scale, using Swift.
• Experience with modern iOS development frameworks and patterns such as SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, and Concurrency.
• Experience leading large iOS projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a bias towards action.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver great user experiences.
