IONOS, a leading European provider of cloud infrastructure, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their cross-functional development team in Karlsruhe. The Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in strengthening the online presence of IONOS' customers by further developing the product infrastructure and supporting the transformation of software into the IONOS Cloud infrastructure.
The Cloud Engineer will be the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders, advising colleagues on implementing functional requirements for the infrastructure. They will also be responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining the internal support infrastructure and optimizing and scaling the system in a service-oriented architecture.
Responsibilities involve:
- Further development of the product infrastructure.
- Supporting the transformation of software into the IONOS Cloud infrastructure.
- Serving as the technical point of contact for internal stakeholders.
- Advising colleagues on implementing functional requirements for the infrastructure.
- Developing, operating, and maintaining the internal support infrastructure.
- Optimizing and scaling the system in a service-oriented architecture.
Requirements include:
- Experience as a system administrator, cloud engineer, or similar roles.
- Solid knowledge of the Linux operating system and container technologies, specifically in Kubernetes.
- Experience in using software and tools for automation and configuration management.
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting highly available and distributed production environments.
- Good knowledge of German and English.
