Backend Service Developer (f/m/d) at IONOS EN

IONOS is seeking a Backend Service Developer to join their Mail Development Team in Karlsruhe. The ideal candidate will design innovative IT solutions tailored to customer needs, collaborating with partners like OpenXchange, Google, and Microsoft. This role involves developing highly scalable Java services and operating them in Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop highly scalable Java services with open-source solutions in Kubernetes.
• Maintain Docker images and container environments.
• Advise product management on functional requirements.
• Serve as a technical contact for internal and external partners.
• Design, develop, and operate systems independently.
• Optimize agile development and delivery processes.

Requirements:

• Degree in computer science or comparable education.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and ORM technologies (Hibernate).
• Knowledge of Java messaging frameworks and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Interest in modern tools like Terraform, Elasticsearch, Fluent Bit, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (JavaScript, Go, Node.js, Python) is a plus.
