Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

Torq is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their rapidly expanding company. Torq is experiencing substantial growth, supported by Series C funding and recognition as a top startup employer. The role involves contributing to the development of Torq's AI-native autonomous SecOps platform.

The Senior Backend Engineer will participate in all development stages, from design to production, focusing on a hybrid/cloud-native product. They will write high-quality, testable, and efficient code and promote innovative ideas for continuous product improvement. The engineer will collaborate closely with team members and mentor new members.

Responsibilities Include:

• Participating in all development aspects from design to production.
• Writing high-quality, testable, and efficient code.
• Initiating and promoting new ideas for continuous improvement.
• Working closely with team members and mentoring new members.

Requirements:

• Significant experience developing software for production systems.
• Extensive Can-Do attitude.
• Proficiency in Java/Go (an advantage).
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure and services.
• Exposure to CI/CD/DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and monitoring technologies.
• Ability to take initiative and scope work to deliver value iteratively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong testing abilities.
