ConnectWise is seeking a Senior Identity Access Management Engineer I to lead the development and optimization of the organization’s IAM system’s architectural strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure secure user authentication and authorization across various platforms, contributing to the protection of company data and resources. This role involves providing support to the identity program, researching and documenting findings, and possibly coaching other team members.
Role involves:
- Designing and deploying advanced IAM solutions (IGA, PAM, SSO, MFA)
- Overseeing the integration of complex systems and applications into the IAM infrastructure
- Developing and implementing IAM governance frameworks
- Performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies related to identity services
- Participating in troubleshooting and resolving IAM-related incidents
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IAM initiatives with organizational objectives
Requirements:
- Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
- Advanced knowledge of applicable work area
- Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
- 3+ years of experience engineering and implementing IGA platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity)
- 5+ years of experience administrating, integrating, and configuring applications and systems into IGA platforms
- Experience conducting UAT sandbox testing and promotion with IGA platforms
- Strong understanding of IAM principles (ULM, RBAC, certifications, access reviews, SoD, ITDR)
- Proficiency with enterprise IAM technology (IGA, MFA, PAM, Data Governance, Entra ID, Active Directory)
- Deep knowledge of authentication protocols (SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID, Kerberos)
- 5+ years advanced scripting (PowerShell, Java, JSON) for automation tasks
- Strong knowledge of IAM architecture and design principles
- Knowledge of IAM-related security risks and mitigation strategies
- Ability to conduct IAM-related audits and access reviews
- Ability and willingness to mentor and guide junior team members
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- 6+ years of experience in IAM or advanced cybersecurity roles
- Preferred senior-level certifications: AZ-500, CIDPRO, CIAM, CIMP, CCSP
