Field Service Technician

Job Description

Ernest Packaging Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in Vista, CA. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and service of equipment sold to Ernest clients. This role involves working closely with sales representatives and customers, to provide support related to the equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating and overseeing installations and start-ups of new equipment.
• Providing warranty service on equipment sold.
• Training customers on the care and operation of equipment.
• Maintaining, modifying, and repairing equipment.
• Ensuring correct billing for services.
• Maintaining files on customers who utilize equipment.
• Informing management about customer needs and problems.
• Promoting and selling Preventative Maintenance Programs.
• Managing the ordering and inventory of replacement parts.
• Updating and training on new equipment lines.
• Maintaining demo equipment and inspection reports.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer/communication skills.
• Technical proficiency (Mechanical and Electrical).
• Ability to prioritize work independently.
• Ability to identify and resolve customer problems.
• Electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to source parts from vendors.
• Ability to read equipment and electrical schematics/drawings.
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems and develop repair plans.
• Ability to determine customer needs and make sales presentations.
• Ability to work in varying environments.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving history.
