Zup is offering a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer position. The role involves serving as a technical reference in a high-performance team, contributing to the construction and evolution of robust infrastructures on the AWS cloud. This person will ensure high availability, scalability, and security, implementing observability practices and utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the creation and evolution of cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Implementing and managing Kubernetes clusters, promoting automation and efficient container management.
- Implementing advanced monitoring and observability systems to ensure reliability and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing critical incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing preventive actions.
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure continuous delivery and integration of new features.
- Designing and maintaining distributed systems that are highly available and resilient, with a focus on security and performance.
- Maintaining technical documentation and managing system knowledge, promoting project continuity and quality.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Peering, Endpoints).
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, including implementation, monitoring, and cluster optimization.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog, with knowledge in distributed tracing.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalents).
- Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous integrations using messaging (Kafka, SQS/SNS).
- Skills with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB).
- Knowledge of security practices in the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Experience in agile environments and DevOps culture.
