Alma is seeking a Business Developer to join its Account Performance Management team. This individual will play a crucial role in driving growth and ensuring the retention of a pool of SMB merchants, who constitute a strategic segment for Alma. The Business Developer will proactively engage with merchants to pursue upsell opportunities and manage negotiations to mitigate churn. Role Responsibilities:
  • Managing a pool of approximately 700 small merchants using an 'at-scale' approach.
  • Proactively reaching out to merchants with upsell potential, analyzing their performance through data, and offering valuable business insights.
  • Sharing merchant feedback within Alma to continuously improve solutions and meet their needs.
  • Negotiating with at-risk merchants to understand their needs and identify solutions to enhance business performance and satisfaction.
  • Contributing to the development and automation of processes to ensure clarity and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Comfort and confidence in making phone calls (Salesforce experience is a plus).
  • A proactive, organized, and autonomous work style.
