Agilisys is recruiting a Senior Analyst Programmer to join their team and contribute to digital transformation within public services. The role involves developing, supporting, and integrating bespoke and third-party services for Sefton Council. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated developer with experience in the .Net stack, SQL Server, and Transact-SQL.

Agilisys is looking for someone to work closely with Sefton Council in this role.

Role involves:

  • Leading project development and liaising with colleagues.
  • Communicating with users on support and technical issues.
  • Presenting solutions using presentations, prototypes, and walkthroughs.
  • Mentoring and training colleagues.
  • Maintaining bespoke integrations, batch processes, web services, and in-house applications.
  • Completing development work following team standards.
  • Leading specification, design, testing, and implementation of development requests.
  • Providing out-of-hours support with overtime compensation.
  • Adhering to SLA and KPI targets.
  • Maintaining IT product knowledge and undertaking training.
  • Producing documentation and coach users.
  • Supporting applications/integrations and resolve 2nd and 3rd line issues within SLAs.

Requirements:

  • Degree, HND, or equivalent in a computer-related discipline, or extensive experience.
  • Aptitude for programming with logical thinking, tenacity, and creative problem-solving.
  • 3 years of experience in Object-Oriented programming (T-SQL, C#, VB.NET preferred).
  • Experience assisting customers and project managers with new work specifications or changes.
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in C#, VB.NET, Visual Studio/Code IDE.
  • Extensive SQL Server and T-SQL experience.
  • Web services (SOAP and RESTful).
  • Source control experience (e.g., GitKraken/Subversion).
