Fortune Media is seeking a Business Development Sales Representative to join its entrepreneurial team in Chicago. The role focuses on building and delivering opportunities for companies to leverage Fortune's digital and print assets.
Responsibilities:
- Engage Fortune 1000 companies as sales prospects.
- Showcase suitable solutions and opportunities.
- Secure appointments with key business decision makers.
- Conduct calls to introduce and pitch Fortune digital assets.
- Track all activity in the company CRM.
- Move prospects forward through the sales process.
- Act as primary contact for Fortune to communicate information to clients.
- Coordinate with marketing, account management, and activation teams.
- Maintain a full activity calendar and create a robust pipeline.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to overcome objections in real time.
- 2-3 years minimum in a sales role with cold calling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, social networking platforms, and CRM tools.
- Experience developing new business relationships.
- Strong understanding of lead generation.
- Comprehension of KPIs and goals of client campaigns.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably with Fortune 1000 companies.
- Familiarity with the media landscape.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability.
- Flexible and creative.
