Manual QA Engineer

Job Description

Fortune Media is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its applications. The successful candidate will work closely with product managers and engineers in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the digital transformation of Fortune from a print magazine to a multi-channel media company.

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in product meetings and sprint planning.
• Performing ad-hoc and manual testing of new features.
• Creating and executing comprehensive test cases.
• Conducting cross-platform testing on desktop and mobile.
• Evaluating application performance and user experience.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using Jira.
• Championing quality throughout the development process.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in manual QA testing, preferably in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
• Experience with cross-platform testing (desktop and mobile).
• Ability to create clear test cases and bug reports.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Understanding of web and mobile technologies.
• Experience with bug tracking systems such as JIRA.
