Canonical is seeking a Lead HR Generalist to support its AMER region. Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems. The role involves shaping the HR function for the future and contributing to both regional and global HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide precise, compliant, and scalable HR operations, advise on HR issues, and partner with leadership.
The role involves:
- Delivering precise and compliant HR operations.
- Creating impact across all HR regions in collaboration with HR leadership.
- Being accountable for HR processes like talent development and performance assessments.
- Partnering with the HRIS team to refine operational processes.
- Coaching and advising people managers on employee relations issues.
- Driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Designing new policies and delivering HR-related projects globally.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record.
- HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business.
- Regional HR experience within Latin America (Brazil and/or Mexico is a plus).
- Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in working in a remote-first organization.
- Fluent in business English.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year.
