Canonical is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support its EMEA region. This role is a key driver in both regional and global HR initiatives, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of the HR function within a pioneering, globally distributed company. The role involves delivering accurate HR operations, partnering with leadership, and advising on employee lifecycle matters.
The Senior HR Generalist will be a part of the global HR team and will work with the EMEA HR Manager and Global Head of HR to impact all HR regions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate HR operations in a timely manner.
- Participate in talent development, succession planning, and performance assessments.
- Work with managers on performance management, organizational design, and employee engagement.
- Partner with the HRIS team to refine HR administration processes.
- Coach managers on employee relations issues.
- Support the delivery of training and development programs.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Design new policies and deliver HR projects.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic record.
- HR experience leading initiatives across regions within a technology business.
- Regional HR experience within EMEA, with understanding of local labor laws (France, Germany, or UK is a plus).
- Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience working in a remote-first organization.
- Fluent in business English.
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year.
