Job Description

Jumia is seeking a Specialist Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Porto, Portugal. This role involves championing system excellence and contributing to the robust infrastructure that powers Africa's leading e-commerce platform. The Specialist SRE will play a crucial role in shaping the future of digital innovation across the continent.Responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm Charts.
• Optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Managing AWS cloud environments.
• Developing and maintaining scripts and automation tools using Python and Bash.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system reliability.
• Implementing best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), security, and DevOps methodologies.
• Collaborating with development teams to support microservices and distributed applications.
• Delivering technical documentation and planning service integration.

Jumia is looking for someone who has:

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure role.
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate tasks.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, system monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Cloud-based solutions experiences such as Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Helm Charts.
• Scripting and automation skills with Python and Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
