Isar Aerospace is seeking a Lead Technician to lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians at their rocket engine test site in Kiruna. The Lead Technician will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and upgrading test facilities. The role involves planning team activities, ensuring safety and compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Role Involves:
- Leading a team of electricians and technicians.
- Overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring safety.
- Performing maintenance and calibration on facilities and equipment.
- Creating and updating operational procedures.
- Participating in personnel and financial planning.
- Troubleshooting facility and engine issues.
- Maintaining records of activities.
- Identifying and implementing improvements.
- Directly supporting the team as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical hands-on role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
- A safety-conscious mindset.
- Practical experience with hazardous systems and high-pressure gas systems.
- Proficiency in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Fluent in English.
