Data Analyst, Finance

Job Description

The Weather Company is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Finance team in Atlanta. The Data Analyst will explore and interpret complex data to support strategic direction in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with large-scale Financial, Sales, and product datasets to uncover trends and opportunities.
• Develop new analytical approaches and frameworks to inform strategy.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and metrics.
• Create models and scenario analyses to assess potential financial outcomes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide data-backed recommendations.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis on Seller performance & account level dynamics.
• Partner with business teams to analyze A/B tests and other experiments.
• Translate complex findings into clear visualizations and presentations.

Requirements:

• Experience working with unstructured data.
• Strong curiosity and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically and challenge assumptions with data-driven insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related fields, and 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience leveraging databases with large-scale data sets
• Experience with SQL and can wrangle data, utilizing other languages such as Python if necessary.
• Proficiency in modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting
• Quick learner and love building new solutions
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working as an analyst and/or consultant is a plus
• Demonstrated success in tailoring reports and messaging to different audiences
