FalconX is seeking a Deputy General Counsel: Markets & Product to join their legal team. The Deputy General Counsel will advise the global Markets team and build and refine product offerings.FalconX operates at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology. The company addresses the challenges of navigating the digital asset market by providing solutions for all digital asset strategies.Responsibilities:- Partner closely with cross-functional teams.
- Manage lawyers responsible for the company’s derivatives products.
- Serve as the senior lawyer for our global Markets team.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop policies and procedures to reduce legal exposure.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a State Bar and good standing.
- 10+ years in legal advisory role.
- 7+ years advising on institutional financial products.
- 7+ years with complex legal transaction negotiations.
- Direct experience in Financial Services or an Institutional FinTech company/product.
- Knowledge of Capital Markets, Derivatives, Equities, Credit Lending, and Prime Brokerages.
- Significant experience providing regulatory advice with respect to the Dodd-Frank Act.
- Record of working well with institutional financial regulators, including the CFTC and SEC.
- Experience providing targeted legal advice to institutional trading businesses.
- Expertise in digital asset transactions.
- Proven record of successfully building or refining product offerings in financial services.
- History of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in a financial services environment.
- Track record of successfully navigating complex legal and regulatory environments.
- History of effective legal team management in the preparation of contractual documentation.
