Job Description
Whatnot is seeking a Head of Corporate Security to lead and execute the company's security strategy. This role primarily focuses on ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and facilities. The Head of Corporate Security will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain a secure environment for Whatnot's growing workforce.

Role Involves:
  • Developing and leading the security strategy for Whatnot’s offices, events, and executive protection programs.
  • Implementing and overseeing security protocols for in-person company events.
  • Overseeing the security operations teams and providing guidance, support, and training.
  • Partnering with senior leadership to evaluate and improve security measures for high-profile executives.
  • Assessing public information and monitoring potential risks related to personal data exposure.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create employee safety programs and raise awareness of security risks.
  • Developing contingency plans and ensuring a quick response to security incidents.
  • Implementing strategies for interacting with law enforcement or responding to online threats.
  • Staying informed on industry trends related to corporate security and public data exposure.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate security, risk management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing security operations for office settings and large-scale events.
  • Strong understanding of public information exposure risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess security needs and design appropriate strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security protocols.
  • Experience in developing and leading security programs.
  • Deep understanding of physical security technologies and risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, legal, and other internal teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, capable of responding effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
