NMI is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor teams of Software Engineers. The Software Engineering Manager will foster a nurturing environment, encouraging growth and equity within the teams. The Software Engineering Manager will collaborate with other leaders to ensure smooth technical operations. The role focuses on supporting and developing the team, ensuring quality software delivery, and aligning with organizational objectives.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the unique needs of teams and individual software engineers.
  • Mentoring software engineers and helping them shape their career paths.
  • Fostering an inclusive and equitable environment.
  • Participating in recruitment and retention of diverse teams.
  • Facilitating teams to stay focused and efficient in producing high-quality software.
  • Collaborating with various managers to streamline operations and establish success metrics.

The requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering software in an agile team.
  • Experience with PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, CCPA or similar rules.
  • Experience working with remote and globally distributed teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • High level of organization and detail-oriented.
